Year 28-Arise

My 27th year was one of endurance. Staying. Stretching. Pushing. Pressing. At work. In relationships. In ministry. In life. Just holding on.

As of last month, I am 28 years old and Jesus is beckoning me to "ARISE!"

In the Old Testament "Arise" is used as a mandate to move.

To enter into the Promise Land.

To leave captivity.

To go into battle.

To build.

I feel strongly that Jesus is calling me to "ARISE" in Year 28.

To enter the Promise Land, sight unseen yet full of faith.

To forsake captivity and step into His marvelous light.

To go into each battle knowing He is with me.

To build a sanctuary for His glory with my life.

Year 28 is a new beginning.

In the New Testament "Arise" is spoken as an invitation into healing and forgiveness.

It's the word Jesus spoke to the 12-year-old girl He raised from the dead.

It's the word He spoke to the man by the pool of Bethesda.

As I travel through this new year of life, I will "Arise."

Arise out of the ashes of the past and into the beauty of a secure future in Jesus.

Arise out of old, unprofitable habits and into new, productive habits.

Arise out of insecurity and into godly confidence.

Arise out of comparison and into joy.

Arise out of anxiety and into faith.

Arise out of striving and into rest.

Year 28 is the one when I will boldly declare, "Rejoice not against me, O mine enemy: when I fall, I shall ARISE; when I sit in darkness, the Lord shall be a light unto me" (Micah 7:8).

P.S. "Arise" also makes a great first guess for your daily Wordle efforts.
